I will keep an eye on it and report back if happens again, but it seems like even if springboard was corrupted the dialer should at least show when a call comes in, but it doesn't. My first guess was the home screen springboard app is getting corrupted somehow and that is why all apps including stock ones disappear from home screen and search. not sure what's going on, so I have been doing iTunes Backups every 3 days now just in case it happens again When I called the device it didn't ring, but my Apple Watch did ring. There was no way to access anything and the home screens were blank. To make a call I have to search for it using spotlight every time. I can find it using spotlight but holding doesn't make it jiggle so cannot put it back on the homescreen/dock.
