![]() She is a contributor for both the Today Show and the CBS Early Show, and each year hosts the Aspen Food & Wine Classic closing event, the Classic Cook-off, a gig Biggers refers to as the "single most favorite professional hour in my whole year!" When not judging food contests, Biggers runs Big Sis Productions and consults for a variety of food-related clients. ![]() So, where is Biggers now? Since leaving Food Network in 2000, Sissy has hosted shows for MSN.com and has made guest appearances on Lifetime Television and ABC's Extreme Makeover. Sound familiar? Though the show had three hosts during its run, none were as memorable as the energetic and quirky Sissy Biggers. Two teams competed in a kitchen with a secret stash of ingredients and a time clock. The show featured two famous restaurant chefs paired with sous chefs plucked from the audience. Cook debuted on the Food Network in 1995. According to McDonagh, "That's what it's all about for us." But what they can spill is that the show will focus on entertaining and accessibility. "All top-secret stuff right now," says Smith. The duo is in talks with a few entertainment honchos. "We are always interacting with people, and that is the great part," adds McDonagh.Įven though Party Line with the Hearty Boys is off the air, another show is not far off. "It's like cooking karaoke," explains Smith. In addition to all the traveling, the two still run Hearty Boys Catering and launched HBTV, a TV studio where they consult and host cooking parties. The pair jet-setted everywhere from Tuscany to Cleveland, autographing copies and hosting cooking demos. One of the perks of writing a cookbook? The press tour. Their first book, Talk with Your Mouth Full: The Hearty Boys Cookbook, was released in October. The boys have stayed quite busy since their days as Mario's neighbor. But nothing is guaranteed in showbiz, and the network did not renew the show (though you can still catch the occasional rerun). Season one winners Dan Smith and Steve McDonagh were awarded their own show, Party Line with the Hearty Boys, which premiered on the Food Network on September 8, 2005. That's the moral of the story when winning The Next Food Network Star.
